Application: CV and Cover Letter

Most investment banks have an online application process; within this online form you will need to fill out various competency questions and submit your CV and cover letter.

Example competency questions: Give an example of a time you worked in a team? When have you had to overcome a difficult problem and how did you go about solving it? When have you excelled in a respective field?

With these questions investment banks are less concerned with the details of the situation but want to know how your direct action produced a result. Show you have demonstrated relevant skills for the job in question. Use language that is upbeat and keep it to the point.
